Here is a photo of an animal that was taken in Duba Plains, Botswana. Who can guess what it is?

 

I have some video footage that confirms the identity of this animal but let's have a bit of fun :)

I would have said banded mongoose but I can't see any banding on it.

Woohoo! I've always wondered how guides managed to know so much about so many different things, as I usually have a brain like a sieve - but at least it shows that some information must be sticking. :unsure:

I'll upload the short video clip - it's the only time I've seen a large grey mongoose and it was the size of a honey badger.
