These are pictures of a little beautiful Ringtail possum my wife and I have raised from a baby here in Tasmania, Australia.

She will be released into the wild very soon...Her white spotted colouring is very unusual in a Ringtail Possum and resembles

Welcome to a fellow Tasmanian Safaritalker!

 

I enjoyed looking at your photos, I haven't seen a ringtail since a pair used to live in the nectarine tree (during the fruit season anyway) at my parents home in Devonport.

Unusual markings. I see this species all the time. One is walking along the side fence as I'm typing this reply.

GW, I'll see what i can do. They're a nocturnal animal and it's almost 10:00 PM here now.

Doesn't look anything like the ones we have here in South Australia, the markings are very pretty.

He is a cute little thing. The possums of Australia are certainly much better looking than the Opossums we have here in Wisconsin. We will trade you!
