Can anyone i.d this eagle?

Fellow Safaritalkers, I need your help.

 

I photographed this eagle in South Luangwa in 2010 and I'm at a loss to i.d it.

 

It could be a juevenille something - but what? I've looked through my bird books and I'm still none the wiser.

I would have guessed juvenile martial eagle, but I am only guessing - let's await an expert opinion...

That would be a sub-adult fish eagle.

Completely agree that this is a young fish eagle have a look at some of these fish eagle photos

A young martial would be white underneath not brown

looked it up on my iPad app.

- The sub adult is the one where the dark brown shoulders already show, as well as the chest getting more white (mixed with dark brown patches).

- The juvenile has light brown shoulders, and the chest motley looking lightbrown-and-white streaked.
