Female Osprey, Tigertail Beach, SW Florida.

Whyone?

A few pictures of a female osprey I met on Tigertail beach (S.W. Florida) most mornings over the last couple of weeks:

I watched her fish on a number of occasions, but always too distant to photograph so I just watched and enjoyed the spectacle through bino's. She did very kindly return one morning to the beach just in front of where I was sitting with a large Needlefish:

Thank you kindly @@wilddog and @elefromz

I am trying to concentrate more on composition and background, rather than just the primary subject. I like the concept of the wider shots with the billowing clouds, but I can't for the life of me get the post processing right.

One more of her on the beach:

Your emphasis on overall composition and background makes very good sense to me.

I feel likewise, despite not making images of comparable quality to your superlative osprey photographs.

After seeing them, I'm sure that it will be a long time before I ever dare to post any of my ultra-long distance, measly osprey shots.

The care and thought in your images is an inspiration!

Thank you for posting them.

Stellar shots @@Whyone?. Osprey are fun birds to photograph. Your last one of the Osprey taking off is especially good. Look at those talons! :) .

Thanks @@Atdahl - I agree, Osprey's are great to watch (and photograph) - they must have kept me amused for a good few hours on our recent trip!
