Luangwa Hippos (video)

Trip report coming in due course, but in many years of visiting Africa, I have never seen anything to match this for a Hippo Horde.

wow! That's just an incredible viewing. for me, it is as awesome as a wildebeest crossing and brings home the fact of the high density of hippos in luangwa river. I'm just surprised there weren't more fights. but I felt so nervous for the baby hippos .

Agree with @@Kitsafari, such a hippo event is just as good as any other "big ticket" sighting.

Amazing video; very impressive to see them not only so closely clustered together, but also moving so rapidly.

The Luangwa is supposed to have the most hippos anywhere. You proved it.
