Young Derby's / Giant Eland I think?

Regular (not giant) eland.

Common Eland.

Giant (Lord Derby's) Eland typically have higher shoulders than Common Eland and a more upright posture. Also, if someone did see Derby's Eland on safari, many members on this forum (including me) would be in a frenzy!! :P

Am I right that I saw big adult males that were darker in colour and had longer horns?

Pardon me i just joined. I understand  and note that  this is a fairly  old topic. These are Eland. The Largest of antelopes. Because  of their  Relatively docile temperament,  they have been reared for meat.
