My own Black-footed Cat shots are similarly taken on Marrick Game Farm. Taken in Feb 2017. Mother and three kittens.

Wildcat on a drive from Kambaku River Sands in the Timbavati.  Nikon D7200, 80-400mm lens @400mm, ISO 8000 (eek), f/5.6, 1/5 sec handheld (double eek).

I have reduced the noise a little which contributes to the softness in these already imperfect images - best described as record shots I feel.  The images have been cropped and this together with he fact that they are from a DX body at 400mm gives an idea of the distance we were from the cat - how our tracker spotted the animal I have no idea.
