Well done, you flew past the 100 mark Peter. Looking at your species, there are lots more a bit further south than Namibia that make me think next time perhaps!

Thanks @@Dave Williams. We'll swap then, I'll put Namibia with Etosha on my list.

Great thread, Peter, really enjoyed catching up on this, and ran out of "likes" somewhere on the way (you know, that quota thing). Very cool you started with a Hawfinch, a bird that still eludes me here and I believe it is the first one in all of the Big Year threads (at least I do not remember one). The Pelagics are very special, seems like a very worthwhile boat trip, and of course love seeing many familiar faces from South Africa. Expertly captured! And very impressed with that Little Swift shot - Bravo!

Thank you, @@michael-ibk! Yes, the pelagic is something special and certainly worth a try if you get the change. I have now started my SA trip report and will definitely include that day. I hope you will be able to match your incredible total of last year, though that will be a tough challenge! Any good trips coming up, to make that happen?

@@PeterHG, such variety, oh to see an Albatross, pity it entails boats. I recognise your Waders, precisely the ones that visit us for Summer, except your photos a far superior to my efforts, now I can see what they really look like :).

None for a few months but just returned from Ethiopia and might have seen one or two nice birdies there. :-)
