Another great set of photos.

Is not 333 a "Black-capped social Weaver"? Black cap and red eyes suggests it is. Cute capture peeking out of the nest.

@Galana you are absolutely right. I do have a grey-capped social weaver coming up. must have mixed it up in the rush to put up the birds. still more to go.

DSC07190.JPG.bbb0b2cbb8a6f5a25c47d55a19bd2004.JPG

a kind of warbler? willow warbler maybe?

DSC06521-4ID.JPG.fbd727edcfa0451a849ebb227811d107.JPG

it looks similar to a tiger shrike we find here. sorry this is the only pix i have and it's heavily cropped.

@Kitsafari I have never been to Kenya and do not have birds books for there, however, the first one looks like a willow warbler and the second a juvenile red-backed shrike. Whether they occur there or not, I don’t know,...

Some lovely additions there to surge your list along.

You are really getting the EBC habit. Love the Wattled Starling. Are you sure you don't want the Red-billed Oxpecker too or are you saving that for later? ;)

One possible correction:-

338. The extra white on the secondaries and the location suggests Somali Golden-breasted Bunting.

As for the UFO's.

1. Willow Warbler is as good as anything.

2, Take your pick of either Red-backed and/or Isabelline (Red-tailed) Shrikes. The blighters hybridise where they overlap in East aFrica but the tail looks blackish to more likely Red-backed as @Tdgravessuggests.

Willow warblers do appear in Kenya during European Winter, so it is possible

@Galana I'm curious where you see the red-billed oxpecker, please? i've checked all my photos of the buffalos and their accompanying oxpeckers and they show yellow-billed except for the following BIF and except for an unidentified oxpecker imposter (on the road next to a few oxpeckers) as below pics show: DSC06419.JPG.be5abf28d7077393d7d36698d050ef16.JPGDSC06435.JPG.9a1b7061bf8a9bb56fa3a67530ddbfc4.JPG

Thanks @Tdgraves - you may not have been to Kenya yet but you're still a walking encyclopedia of birds!

@Galana - on the bunting - wow the difference looks so minute, but I'm happy defer to you as I'm still a novice in the fine art of bird IDs! so it will be revised to:

338: Somali golden-breasted Bunting

Thanks @TonyQ for confirming the willow warbler as well.

Yes. I agree. The white rump of the YB is quite clear in your later shots. On the one with the Wattled Starling thre was a bird that did not show this and on the balance of probabilities of distribution i guessed RB. Just my little joke.
