Thanks @TonyQ and @wilddog the voles were at Kingsmill reservoir at Sutton in Ashfield and I had the pleasure  of being taken there,as a present from Jane by a photographer Tesni Ward who uses micro four thirds equipment. Jane hoped it might improve  my photos!

There were a pair at strumpshaw fen that showed very well one summer,  a little too well since they apparently were eaten by a mink!
