Finally I am able to finish writing a small trip report for my most rewarding trip to Kabini. Although it's a few months late, I think it will make for a light read on Sunday morning. I hope you enjoy it.

Second that. And unique in a way since sightings of the black panther are rare and to get a shot as this one, rarer still.

I had not heard of Cheetals before.  Very interesting!  What a wonderful group of big cat sightings.

And here I'd mistakenly supposed that a “cheetal” was the rare love-child of a far-ranging cheetah and an amorous gavial!

Seriously, this is an engaging trip report.

When I read that I burst out laughing!

I understand how your kid would be puzzled by Sambar deer instead of flavorsome Sambar.

Generous, I'll say.  That black panther intro shot is an absolute stunner, as are the other black panther shots in your report!  Tigers and dhole were generously plentiful too.
