Game Changer: Touring South Africa By Campervan

Nice, but that campervan would be badly scratched on some narrow tracks in parks like Imfolozi or Hluhluwe. And as far is pure luxury for an average camper, it is a lot of a house to lug around, IMO.

However, as my salary is paid by Iveco itself, yes, beautiful campervan :). I have seen the 4x4 edition, and that one looks even more adequate for those gravel roads in the south.

I’m renting this exact van for my husband and myself for a two week safari in Etosha, NP Namibia. Should be interesting as the operator advises to drive very slowly since it’s all gravel roads. But at least no sand and we will be very comfortable off the dusty campsites there.
Too bad a van like this won’t make it through Moremi and Chobe, so back to a 4x4 and roof tent it is!
