Mana Pools to Lusaka via Chirundu

Hi all,

 

Heading to Mana Pools at the end of September. Booking flights right now and want to know if it's possible to make it from Nyamepi Camp to Lusaka in a day. The flight I am looking at leaves for Johannesburg at 18:55 on a Sunday. We would therefore need to be at Kenneth Kaunda Airport at 16:45 latest. It seems doable to me but would like to see if anyone else can vouch for it.

Yes, should be perfectly do-able but I'd make plans for an early start from Nyamepi - the two great unknowns are the state of the road out of Mana (and the havoc it may wreak on whatever vehicle you are travelling in) and the time it will take to cross through border control from Zim - Zambia.

Thanks @Whyone? was thinking of an 8 am start...Will leave us 8 or 9 hours to get there.
