Colourful indeed.

Love the poses too.

The African Pygmy looks like it is surrendering.

Lovely collection, and I love the Pygmy's pose. Pity about that stick!

A beautiful collection of Kingfishers - well done to both of you!

Yeah, but that is how we see it. I really dislike cloning out objects (as if I would even know how to do it ).

Me too :D! Decent photos ... but superlatives like "gorgeous" should be reserved to other photographers posting here (you included). Still scratching my head how to get those shiny eyes seen on yours :o!

Do I count eight Bee-eater species? Great photos of all of them!

Don't worry, I am not advocating cloning out the stick. I also wouldn't know how.

For several of the bee-eater photos posted above, gorgeous is certainly the correct word!

I'm looking at your BY #170, Blue-breasted Bee-eater and I can't see any blue. It looks very similar to the Cinnamon-chested posted at #169.

Field marks:

- the breast band is bluish (see on left bird) (dark brown on Cinnamon)

- the chest/belly is paler in colour (darker on Cinnamon)

- the white is extending under the eye (only in the corner of the yellow patch on Cinnamon).

I will add one more photo to #170. Maybe it will be easier to see filed marks. @Galana what is your comment?

The speed at which you are transforming to being a proper birder is hair raising!!!! Must be a result of spending so much time with @Galana. Keep it up.

Can't comment on the Bee-eaters as I don't have the book!
