Seeking images of Tanzania Sykes’s monkey (Cercopithecus mitis monoides)

Recommended Posts

We are searching for good images of the Tanzania Sykes's monkey Cercopithecus mitis monoides...particularly of adult males.

Here is a brief description of the known geographic limits of C. m. monoides:

Coastal plain of central and south Tanzania and extreme northeast Mozambique.  From the Pangani R. southwards to Ruvuma R.  Approximate center of geographic distribution: Rufiji River.  Includes: Saadani National Park, Wami River, Kilosa, Morogoro, Nguru Mts., Uluguru Mts., Selous Game Reserve, Kilombero Valley, Kichi Hills, Kilwa, Lindi, and Mafia Island.  Altitudinal limits: 0–2,590 m asl.

Any good images of monoides would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Yvonne and Tom
