What truly amazing dog sightings - so close! Just such fascinating critters. Lovely shot of the Dwarf Bittern, like you I've only ever seen it in SLNP and that sighting was a pair mating on the Mushilashi bridge road.

Now I need to follow up your tiger link above as I'm off to Bangalore in November with some notable STers!

page 2 - I've seen no raindrops yet, but the lush green in your photos shows the rain did fall.  And it even rained bushpigs.  Your observations with the pack and your pup-sitting and their call seems logical to me.  That leopard and ele in the same frame is amazing.
