I feel there is a bit of a story behind this... care to expand?

Off course, I can do that :-)

What I like most is the quietness and the thrill of tracking your own animals. When you go guided the drivers will do upmost their best to find animals for you, the tools what they use is not so much the tracking skills but a noisy radio  where their share the findings. So not a single video without those noisy sounds and we do not like one lion with 300 vans around it,,,,,maybe a bit selfish of me but if I am honest that's the truth.

So the real enjoyment is tracking yourself, find yourself and create your own best moments.

However, if you have limited time, no experience in tracking then the guise is a need for you.

@JPS I totally agree with what you have written - there is most definitely a certain thrill of self-drive which I too love!
