Short trip to Black hills.

In July took a long drive but short trip to Custer State park just to get away, look for Mountain Goats and Big horn sheep. Found a couple of Goats but only female sheep. nice park with plenty of wildlife and this time people.

I've been thinking about mountain goats lately and here's your report.  I don't remember too many of them in Custer.  Were they common there?  Easy to find/see? 

 

Nice getaway!  Probably very uncrowded.

Hear that there is about 200 in the area but not native released in 1924(before my time). I have seen at least one every time I have been there but not easy. This time the first hour I turn a rocky corner and two next to the road. I have seen them near Mt. Rushmore.
