Wild dogs vs Hyenas. Kruger NP Feb 2020

Kruger NP February 2020. 

We drove back to Tamboti rest camp, on the way we found a group of wild dogs on the H7 playing with each other. Then hyenas came to the wild dogs, which led to tension between the two groups.  Later we found that the hyenas were stalking the wild dogs for days and I guess it is related to the wild dogs being good hunters and hyenas being good thieves.

Fascinating.  I hope the injured dog recovers.  They are tough creatures with loyal pack-mates.

Great sighting! Interesting to see how they go from being irritated to one and another to just be in each others presence with the dogs even laying down to relax.
