I would be delighted with that Cettis shot. We often hear them but rarely see them!

Thanks You all! However, as an old proverb says, eventually even the blind hen finds the grain ^_^.

Almost voted to be "the bird of the day". Failed on technical note (it should pose on the sun to get the award :D).

They are both common but they have different taste for the colours of their socks :)! The green one was already counted as BY053 as was his spotted cousin (BY058).

Usually we took photos of this bird at Lake Cerknica where it has its breeding grounds. This one flew all the way to the coast just for me :)!

All white bird on a dark, shiny surface ... a receipt for a disaster. This time the camera saved the photographer .

This photo is for @Peter Connan. It reminds me of a similar pose taken by its cousin in Marienvale (BY2016) and the joy of birding with Peter.

Swallows are back! They are a real test for both the camera and the operator. Real acrobats in the air, so quick and agile.

The bonus shot is inspired by excellent @shazdwnphoto of fighting Herons. Only this time is a squabble between a Ruff (yellow legs) and a Sandpiper (green legs).

well done on the SIF (Swallows in flight) and what a squabble - fighting like kangaroos with their feet!

It's a bit big for a Common Sandpiper. Might well be juv Ruff. The feet look the same.

Good to see you are keeping busy.

Not a Common as that would be a fight between bantam and middleweight. There was a Wood Sandpiper browsing around. However it could also be a juvenile Ruff.

Every so often I am going to look for the Dipper along the Kamniška Bistrica river. No luck yet this year. However there is always something to add to the BY count, like this new arrival from Africa.

The Pied Flycatcher is a decent substitute for a Dipper!
