Herman and I really liked Herdsman Lake, so much so we spent a second day there, and found a family of three tawny frogmouths.

@kitsafari I was amazed at the number of birds in this popular urban wetland. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the space too - joggers, dog-walkers and mums and babies all out an about. I thought you might recognise the frogmouths!

@michael-ibkthe Bronzewing is a fairly common, yet striking bird and one of my favourites. @PeterHGthe fairywrens are a spectacularly coloured family, if only those branches weren't in the way...
