Another amazing wildlife experience at Kruger NP

The aircraft was almost empty during our flight as the covid was an issue as also the recent looting and riots in Johannesburg did not motivate to travel. As our passion for South Africa is kind of big, we decided to go. And so happy we did, we received great support via the 4x4 South Africa forum from a helicopter pilot which was very helpful and updated me via the what’s app with the current daily status in Nelspruit, which was by the way good during my trip.

In Kruger, it was not too busy, on our Mathikithi trail we were the only two tourists which was incredible and we had two rangers to guide us which was extraordinary. Anyway, the videos and pictures will give an impression of how stunning it was, and when you have any questions about the trip, feel free to ask.

~ @JPS:

Thank you for posting the information about your 2021 visit to South Africa.

The assortment of wildlife images shows what a great trip you had.

It's especially helpful that your camping information was provided.

The python portrait is outstanding...it looks vivid on the computer screen.

Happy travels in 2022!

What sharply attentive eyes you have!

After reading the above, I went back and looked...lo and behold, the reflected images are there.

Impressive work by both @JPSand @offshorebirder.

Well done.

@JPS Awesome shots and what a nice Long trip! very fascinating to see the leopard eating the african wild cat. for some reason, i thought predators generally kill competitors (although a AWC isn't really a competitor to the bigger cat) but don't eat them. this proves me wrong.

To be honest, we were surprised, as you are:), and with so many good tasting impalas around.

We also once saw in Serengeti a leopard eating another leopard.....

Some truly wonderful photos here, but the face-on shot of the Lapped-faced vulture is my favorite.

A month plus, wow!  Great images from so many perspectives.  The red light on the elephant is fantastic.  We got a few glimpses of you as well.
