Belated BY - 6th year! Herman&Kit

So, nine months after the year started, we've decided to throw in our lot for our - wow time flies when we're having fun - 6th BY list! I had been reluctant to start one as this year has been extremely stressful at work, my minor health issues were annoying and I was finding it hard to cope, and the biggest reason of all - I was just too lazy. 

We've been busy with travel - Kenya in January, me in Japan in March but not birding, we both in the UK in June, Herman in and out of Malaysia. Then we are heading out to Bali in October, Me in HK and Vietnam in Nov, and finally we both in Christmas Island in December. 

I mean, how can we not share what we saw, even if you all veteran birders have seen them time and again.

even if it's not a lifer, each bird is still a surprise and a delight. 

The only thing that has changed or is changing from January to now, is that, well I am getting more time on my hands, and I won't have an excuse not to do a BY. 

Because I'm reaching that milestone that everyone will reach sooner or later - I'm retiring! Hoorah! in 10 days time, I shall be free of the stress and anxieties of trying to do enough to keep a job. 

So I shall celebrate it with our 6th BY list, although 99% of the images will come from Herman as mine sucks. 

Herman is now using the Canon mirrorless R7 with 100-500 lens, and he loves the combo. I'm still stuck on the Sony RX10 MkIII but contemplating to move to canon mirrorless too likely next year. we shall see.
