Colugos

I've recently returned from a trip to Malaysia - it wasn't really a photography trip, more revisiting some old friends and haunts from when I worked on KL a few years ago. However when I found myself in the company of one of my very favourite animals - the weird, wonderful and, to my eyes, very beautiful Colugo - I had to take a few photos.

@Whyone? I love the colugos. It was your beautiful images of this stunning animal those years ago that prompted me and hubby to plan the trip to Langkawi - and there they were! we were so thrilled to see them.

I was lucky to see Colugos in Langkawi too, in 2017. Amazing sight watching them glide through the trees.

Lovely photos - brought back happy memories.

Hi all @TonyQ@ElenaH @Kitsafari@Dicky Lloyd   and thank you for your kind comments - I am really pleased that these photo's brought back some happy memories!

We spent several evenings at sunset watching the colugos scampering up trees at an incredible rate of knots, shuffling around so they faced the ground and then gliding off into the night.  Taking photo's would have required using a flash and I really don't think this would have been good for the colugos...they had enough to contend with without sudden bursts of binding light!
