Did you use T4A on your journey or plain vanilla Nelly?

 

I was using the Nuvvi 710. I have subsequently used it to find my way to work and back home. Among other places.

 

What I can tell you is that it has two settings fastest time and shortest distance. Both routes that it gives me are not as good as the one I use everyday.

 

I left the other day from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn and the fastest time was 60kms further. N2 via George vs N1 then Worster, Montegue, barrydale. The shortest route was in fact the fastest time. So they are useful, but have but its better to know a little about how you want to get somewhere, and roads you want to avoid.
