Xeno-canto Africa bird sounds from Africa

A while back I discovered a website called xeno-canto for anyone who hasn’t come across this site it’s a database of bird sounds from all over the world recorded by enthusiastic birders. As well as playing the recordings you can also down load them FOC, they are obviously still subject to copyright so you can’t use them for commercial purposes without seeking permission but you can as far as I can see load them onto your iPod or whatever for your own use. I often download some of the more evocative calls and add them as sound effects to my slideshows.
