Oh crikey.

2017 is already flying past and I'm just getting around to posting my first birds.

It has been a slow start but hopefully a trip to Botswana in May will help me get my numbers up.

In the meantime here are a few to get my ball rolling.

Robin (Erithacus Rubecula)

Greater Double Collared Sunbird (Cinnyris afer)

Knysna, South Africa

I think this is the Greater Double Collared rather than the Southern, based upon the extensive scarlet breast band.

Common (formerly Steppe) Buzzard (Buteo buteo) - such a shame that this bird has now been designaetd 'common'. Steppe Buzzard sounded so much better (IMO).

Shaky hands on these due to trying to stop the vehicle and get my camera on target before the bugger flew off.
