Wow, you are firing from all cylinders! Great sightings, I am especially intrigued by the Great Sparrowhawk, a species I´ve long wanted to see. Interesting photo of the Black Crake, not used to seeing them climbing around on branches.

I can see 400 coming very soon. Great shot of the Brubru but some great Lapwings too.

Oooh. I had not realised they were all in alphabetical order. (Can't have been a Yellow-billed Kite then?:rolleyes:)

@michael-ibk thank you. It was interesting watching the Crake looking for berries. I only got the Great Sparrowhawk once we got home - with the help of Galana! (I will post it later)

@Galana thank you - I am pleased that a man of such exceptional observation skills noticed the alphabetic order:D I really like the Plover/Lapwings.

@Soukous thank you

@pedro maia thank you.

400 will be coming up very soon....

K51. Common Moorhen  Gallinula chloropus meridionalis

Already seen in UK and India. I changed the order slightly to make the Ostrich number 50 for Kenya - it seemed more appropriate than this poor Moorhen photo!

Kicheche Mara Camp (Mara North)    11.09.2019

All of the camps we stayed in were good for birding around the camp, Kicheche Mara particularly so. The river was nearby, and there were some large shady trees (lunch was taken at an outdoor table under one of these trees). Searching the trees during the middle of the day was enjoyable and productive.
