Seen in the Imbassaí beach, a new species for me.  I saw only a couple of waders, Coe suggested to go to a good spot for waders but it was 2 hours north of Praia do Forte and I preferred not to go.

Doves aren´t my favourite birds and I didn´t see any new species during this trip but a tick is a tick, even if it isn´t a new one...

Coe was very excited to spot this species in the Aruá forest, a group feeding high in the canopy (not easy to photograph), an endangered species endemic to Brazil that occurs only in the eastern portion of the Atlantic Forest, a new species for me of course.

That Peach-Fronted is a really good-looking one. Isn't it around in the Pantanal as well?

#28, Common pauraque (Nyctidromus albicollis)

1086783933_28-Bacurau.jpg.3e166c3cf66f92d79947f14daf786dac.jpg

I went for a night outing with Coe in the Aruá Forest, the goal was to see owls, 2 species answer the call but dind´t show up, the same happened with the Common potoo, which I would have loved to see, and we had to settle for the paurauque, previously seen in the Pantanal.

None of the humminbirds pictures were take in feeders, maybe that´s why I found it quite challenging.

Trogons were quite high on my wish list, so I was quite happy when I saw this one at Klaus Peters park:

#32, Blue-crowned trogon (Trogon curucui)

1863977760_32-Surucubarrigavermelha.jpg.fb5ac414c5ec9d33d8eb07ece979a4da.jpg

It was a bit far from the trail and when I tried to get a clear view it just flew away, I was a bit desapointed with that.

This one at the Aruá Forest was much more confiding and allowed plenty of time to take pictures from a close range.

#33, Green-backed trogon (Trogon viridis)
