I think that is it for Rietvlei. I have an unidentified weaver which is probably a duplicate from KNP and a juvenile drongo that I will post with an adult from KNP (when I get around to it!). We identified 50 species in all, which is probably a bit low for the time of year (no gulls, no korhaan etc)

Still a satisfying harvest from the Rietvlei reserve, with some good species! Don’t you think #40 may be a Black-headed Heron ?

Impressive batch from Rietvlei - I often feel like I´m the only BYer who has never been there. Killer shots of the Kite!

you’re absolutely correct @PeterHG I had it written down as that, but never look at my list whilst posting! I guess if I only posted in batches, a few at a time I may have also noticed. I think I’ll have to find one locally as I don’t recall seeing one in KNP….

you must put it on your list! Very convenient to do on the last day of a trip as it is literally half an hour from the airport…

A nice bunch of birds. I had to laugh at your Pied Crow.:D

Congratulations on your half century with or without the BH Heron.

Thanks @Galana they laughed at me as well, but many a BY has passed when I have seen them with no photographic evidence, usually as you are on the motorway….

Exactly! I also confused people because I asked our guide to stop in the middle of a city just to get a Pied!

And that is so easily to correct :D.

@Tdgraves, your Rietvlei collection is quite extensive. With excellent photos. I am looking forward to see what Kruger has delivered.
