Final count for 3 weeks birding in Western & Eastern Cape is 179 species, of which 17 were already posted. Now I need to scrap the barrel.

I really enjoyed seeing your South Africa collection, Alex! You have an impressive total already and I hope the barrel will provide some more.

Before throwing it away, you could check it for any EBCs ;)

Really enjoyed your SA birds, the new camera performed excellently. Now the question is - will your ebc drawer be sufficient to catch up with me? And don't forget about mine! 😜

Unfortunately (for me) not, even if you do not open your barrel. You are right about @Kitsafari her garden and Singapore is filled with birds local and migratory.

Above are the last birds from Slovenia for the another excellent birding year. But not the last ones for the year!

We have been invited to a dinner (and overnight) at Michael's mom house in Muhldorf, Carinthia. The morning after Michael took me to find a few birds I have missed during the year. We have seen and heard a few more, yet I have managed to produce only two decent shots.

That concludes this year with 568 species. The second best year after 2018 with 641 species. We will try to get better next year. See you all in Big Year 2024!
