112. Greater Coucal, Kinabatangan River

I've never seen this skulky bird displaying so openly! It was enjoying the sun after a very foggy and damp early dawn.

A very tough subject to photograph as this fantail is as fast as a warbler!

Thanks @Peter Connan. I also think it's one of the prettier storks around. :)

Another batch of EBCs just to record the birds that can be seen in Sabah

117. Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Kinabatangan River

Not as prolific as the Crested Serpent Eagle along the river, this dark morph of the CHE was hiding behind a branch.

We also saw this large stately looking pigeon at the beach next to the Kota Kinabalu airport.

119. Hair-crested Drongo, Kinabalu Park

This drongo was skulking at the back of the forest, always in low light and always facing away. In the right light, its wings would shine with blue and green sheen. Distributed in Indian sub-continent, China, Korea down to Indochina and Southeast Asia, including Borneo.

122. Slender-billed Crow, Kinabatangan River

Saw this only a couple of times in Sabah and only on the river either in flight or very backlit early in the mornings. Steady shots from a swaying boat and plenty of movements from fellow birders on the boat is nigh impossible.

Found only from Thailand down to Borneo, Indonesia and the Philippines.

124. White-chested Babbler, Kinabatangan River

Saw this bird only once throughout the trip, and it is a fast-mover. A pity I couldn't get a better shot as this species is on the Near-Threatened status.
