What an excellent adventure! Great writing, descriptions and pictures! Thanks for sharing your self-drive journey. We did Kruger and Kgalagadi, thinking of doing Lusaka-South Luangwa next year.

Have much enjoyed reading your report Bushwalker.

A self drive journey in Africa is something I wouldn't attempt but those that do get my admiration - a great adventure and achievement.

The photo of the African Finfoot is quite special. I saw one lurking under overhanging trees and shrubs in the Lunga River, North Kafue back in 2007 but there was no way it was going to oblige with a photo opportunity.

Have just got back from another excellent trip to Kafue. It was great catching up with Brad and Ruth again who as you rightly say are great hosts and excellent company.

Have a great time in October. Getting close now. How long are you going for?
