Congratulations Peter, splendid photos. Given that most of this is still from February you must have hundreds more on your harddrive. :-)

Thank you very much @pedro maia, @xelas, @PeterHG and @michael-ibk.

Michael, unfortunately not. There are a few more to come, but certainly not hundreds. But there is still some year left...

(Home) Country for country I'm just about keeping pace. You will however end up with a lot more than me I'm sure as I am running out of species! Not such a lazy year after all though.

Thanks @Dave Williams

I have a little bit of hope for a bigger total than I had thought. Just booked a campsite for December. On the wild coast...

102) Southern Black Flycatcher

Swartvlievanger Melaenornis pammelaina

The Flycatcher family in these parts has a couple of excellent "stunt doubles". This one mimics the Fork-tailed Drongo very closely...

103) Fork-tailed Drongo

Mikstertbyevanger Dicrurus adsimilis

The most reliable way to tell them apart (for me anyway) is that the Drongo has red eyes.

Which of course are not particularly visible in this shot...

I have a feeling that your Brown-hooded Kingfisher is actually a Striped one.

Bi coloured bill and no orange blush to flanks etc., plus white in wings. Where were you when taking this?
