I was lucky enough to see a leopard in Meru. I do realize that it's not common.

Addendum:

This report has been edited and modified to accommodate the wishes of the co-author of the report who wished to leave the forum.  I'm sorry if some of the posts seem a little disjointed although I have spent quite some time trying to keep the information and chronological order intact.  I have deleted personal reflections of the co-author along with photos showing this person, however, I have retained information that is general knowledge and that adds to the report as was intended when it was first published.  If anyone wants further clarification about any post due to the editing that has been done, please send me a message.  It grieved me to make some substantial changes to both the text and photos, but I hope anyone reading this in years to come can still appreciate the beauty that these places in Kenya gave to me at the time and will find enough information remaining to help them with their own trip planning.  Ultimately, that was what we members of Safaritalk hoped to do when we joined; share information and experiences in the spirit of good will that a love of Africa, safaris and wildlife usually engenders.
