So, while i am processing african photos, here goes for the uk....

In the garden: robin, blackbird, wood pigeon, collared dove, thrush, greenfinch, wren, chaffinch, blue tit, great tit, long tailed tit, magpie, crow, jackdaw. No signs yet of woodpecker, bullfinch, goldfinch or jay

Do muntjack deer count? ;)

In the locale: duck, swans, grey heron, kestrel, red kite, buzzard, pheasant, seagull

No photos as yet (light too crappy at present in the uk - will work on it in the spring)

As I recall, without the photos all your sightings count for nought. :o

I wish I knew about this before we went to the Kruger, grrr. :(

I would have a) paid more attention and more importantly B) taken some proof shots of things I wouldn't normally bother with (LBJs etc)

Anyway, we saw a few new species, so they will be easier to remember (I guess)

Hahahaha only just getting started!

Managed was probably the right word in the kruger though, as the second half of the trip was very rainy and cloudy.

Also new species, but unable to photograph (due to fleeting glimpse) black headed oriole

I have just spent half an hour trying to find a photo of the last new species we saw, a wooly necked stork, but must conclude that it was blurry and hence got deleted....
