A different subspecies to that found in the UK. Apparently this one breeds in Russia

oh i love all the pix of the smaller birds. the 2nd pix of the yellow wagtail is stunning - the fluffy bright yellow just pops!

We had many attempts at capturing the display of the male- it appeared to leap at random into the air!

Correction

(I am surprised I haven't had to do more of these!)

It seems that sighting 157 (identified by me as Greater Spotted Eagle (Pale Morph)) is much more likely to be a Juvenile Pale Morph Tawny Eagle.

(Many thanks to @@armchair bushman for helping me with this).

 

I already have the Tawny Eagle in an earlier post, so Montagu's Harrier becomes sighting 157. (K60) and I will adjust the number on the next posting
