I'm leaning with Fred on this one. Shorter and stockier than PCG but very similar otherwise. Not as common either!

Thanks @Galana and @Dave Williams. Unfortunately I don't have any other angles. But there does appear to be something there... Lizard Buzzard it seems to be.

Thanks @Kitsafari

They just keep on coming... a bird a day it seems! The YF Canaries are lovely.

Bosveldstompstert Sylvietta rufescens

This is a bird I have never noticed before, but they were very abundant around the lodge. Very difficult to get a clean shot of though!

Knobbeleend Sarkidiornis melanotos

Saw these a couple of times in Botswana, but never got a decent photo.

Strange how Big Year affects one's vision. Nice capture. Definitely not EBC quality!!;)

Excellent additions. What a friendly Brubru.

A lovely bush-shrike - such a warm contrast against what looks like dry wintry conditions.

That Bush-shriek is one of my favourites. Much more delicate than some of its cousins.

And fast approaching the magic double ton along with @Kitsafari so I hope you are saving a good one for us.

Fred, all I can say right now is that I will indeed reach 200 this year. At times I was worried I might not, and I very much doubt I will reach last year's lofty total!

Something new every day. Until I saw your excellent photo I never realised the Cardinal had a brown forecrown. I must have seen hundreds but with eyes drawn to the red and the stripes. It's really quite nice! Thanks.
