Hello all, 

 

Thank you for the encouragement and enthusiasm to jump in on the fun. We certainly all need a bit more of that wherever we can find it these days. All photos are within Monterey County, CA or Monterey Bay or the immediate open water outside the bay, unless otherwise noted.

Point of Order: do I post a photo for the bird on the day I took the photo, or the day I observed it first this year, if you observe it multiple times?

4) Hutton's Vireo - 1 Jan (I originally ID'd both the kinglet above and this one as a Hutton's....good to review and catch that they weren't!)

So pleased to see you here!

 

I'm not sure of the rules but it shouldn't matter when you see it as long as you count it once.  So  you get to choose your best shots!
