Thanks @Galana and @shazdwn

@Dave Williams there was one in the garden where we stayed in jersey, but since we have been home, we have heard nothing. This could either mean that they have fledged and there is no point in begging absent parents or that they have moved on…

We had a few days in Jersey in July. It felt like a real holiday - we went on a plane, the weather was fabulous, the food amazing and it was wall to wall beaches. The birding however, not so much .....

I got excited thinking that I had found a new bird, but realised later that it was black-headed, not Mediterranean :(

Dave Williams

Getting to the ton slowly but surely!

I liked Jersey, haven't been in 40 years though so I wonder what it's like nowadays! One thing is certain, the Jersey Royal new potatoes ain't what the used to be since they tried exploiting the market and forcing two crops a year.

@Dave WilliamsIt is extremely smalI and the roads are very narrow, which I imagine are much busier now than 40 years ago. I refused to pay £3.50 for a kilo of spuds, but everything we ate out was amazing….

ha ha, birders are hard to please.

What a memorable Owl experience, hope they like your place and come back next time.

Congratulations on the big 100. Well done.

Have you counted the wagtail on the right too?

Oops, sorry I didn't notice that this was your 100th. Congratulations. For some reason I thought you were way past that milestone.

Thanks @xelas and @Zim Girl

@Galana I think that the photobombing wagtail appears in the spring migration

Congrats on reaching #100! Yellow-legged Gull would be quite a find in the Netherlands, although sightings are more frequent than they used to be. Is that the same for where you live?

I think in some parts of the uk, but I seem to get one each year for the BY. They are certainly not the most common gulls around here (black headed and black backed)
