Steady on. This is almost getting too much for me to take in .Well doen indeed. Some lovely birds and I even enjoyed the Cisticola.

Thanks everybody! Seldomseen was indeed a very good place for lifers, such a different habitat there. 

 

1013/Z48) Dideric aka Diederik Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx caprius) / Goldkuckuck

 

Vumba Mountains, 2/11/22. One of the classic three Green Cuckoos. Heard quite a bit in Uganda but never saw it there.

1014/Z49) Miombo Rock Thrush (Monticola angolensis)/ Miomborötel

 

Vumba Mountains, 2/11/22. An important target bird and another lifer. A distant sighting of the female was all I got for photos. Glimpsed the colourful male too, but about a kilometre away.

1027/Z62) (Acacia) Pied Barbet (Tricholaema leucomelas) / Rotstirn-Bartvogel

 

Gonarezhou NP. An ebc. This is a Kalahari bird for me since that‘s the only place I‘ve ever seen it before. IOC has Acacia Pied and Miombo Pied, ebird sees both as one species (Pied Barbet).

Thank you Peter, very kind. Only a small selection of birds coming up here since most were doubles from Uganda. But TR will arrive soon, fully intend to do it in January.
