Perhaps not colourful, but quite a few would certainly be exciting for me!

Just like Brer Rabbit. Nuffin! It's a juv of course but if really pressed I would come down on White-rumped due to the buff fringes to the breast feathers.

No backsliding. You now have a commitment to @janzinto show all the birds on the TR anyway (like it or not) :Pso get on with it.

I think that may be my fault as I told you it was Black-throated. I checked with Merlin before posting and Merlin said White-rumped.

Recently I have started to use eBird so my names are following them. Adding latin name clears confusion.

We'd been seeing Stonechats and taking pictures of them for a few days, assuming they were the same as our Common Stonechat, but our naturalist kept calling them Siberian Stonechat.

Eventually we checked, I think it was @xelasactually, and we found that there is indeed a Siberian Stonechat and it has its own Latin name too.

More beautiful additions from India. Great birds and beautiful photos.

I think the Purple Swamphen has been split into a number of Species.

The Grey headed one that you have is now Porphyrio poliocephalus

If you or @xelashave seen a Swamphen in Europe or Africa it will be a different species (Porphyrio porphyrio) so an additional tick:)

Thank you Tony. Noted and Latin name updated. That is the problem with using an old book I guess, each year more species get name changes.

Congratulations on a magnificent #400. A little late on my part and  you’re so far beyond that number now, that I might as well have waited till you’ve reached the next century! Great collection from India.
