@Zim Girl@Kitsafari@Galana@michael-ibk@PeterHG@xelasthank you for your kind comments about the kites - it was good fun!

I am adding on more photo (heavy crop, not great photo but I think interesting behaviour) - and then a couple more duplicates

I don't usually post photos on the feeders, but this pair of Siskin are very uncommon visitors to our garden!

We had heard a Green Woodpecker on a previous visit, about a week before this (but no cameras or binoculars!). This day we set out to try to find it. We heard it after a bit of searching, and then managed to catch a glimpse as it flew. After a lot more tracking we manged to find this one. It was very cooperative and is probably the best sighting we have had of a Green Woodpecker (and only the third time one has been in My Big Year)

Not very active when we saw it, but it did eventually sit up. We don't see them that often, so it makes the Big Year!

I chose this for 100 as I really like them. I think they are beautiful in an understated way, using colours from a very limited pallette. I also enjoy it when they first arrive. You can hear them in the reeds "chattering" away to each other. It is hard to even get a glimpse sometimes. Then one has pity on you and comes out in the open for a short time.
