TonyQ: Big Year 2023

So a new start, and hopefully a bit bigger than last year. This is attempt number 8 - so I am probably converted to a birder!

I have switched camera - my Canon 7dii was becoming unreliable in focussing. So now I have a Canon R7, my first attempt with a mirrorless camera. Much learning will be happening this year.

I am still using the Canon EF100-400ii lens and it works very well with the adapter.

A slow start with a lot of poor weather where we live - but a quick visit to a park was possible

Great start Tony, you are doing well with your new camera. (I´m still waiting until my 7D breaks. Which must happen any time now.) Of course I particularly like your Stock Dove. ;)

You could always “accidentally” drop it - once you get used to mirrorless you will never go back. The silent shutter in particular is awesome
