Barring any LBJs that I find when processing the thousands of cats, I think that it is for Kenya. Obviously there were a lot that I had already seen in the Kruger or Kgalagadi, so here are a few choice duplicates....from Ol Pejeta

Grand finale. Loved the Eagles with Lapwings.

I don't know about its rump but the Shrike is White-crowned and location suggests Northern.^_^

ebird strikes again - they are one and the same. I think the original name is a better description…

Yes. The OH got a much better shot as he was on the correct side of the vehicle

A beautiful Kenya collection and I'm glad you took the trouble to post the duplicates. So many great shots in there!

Well spotted. I guess another misidentification by the guide. I will change the name (no difference to the count though)

Barring any that I find when processing the rest of the Kenya photos, that is all for my smaller big year 2023. Larger than I thought, due to the extra safari, although there was a lot of overlap. I think 2024 really will be smaller...

Happy New Year to all my fellow BYers (and the other ST users )

Only one word for these. Epic!

A worthy end to anyone's year.

Thanks @Galana @xelas @Peter Connan and @Kitsafari

just come back from a walk as the sun finally came out - saw and photographed bearded reedlings as well as stonechat, which I don’t think I even saw until November 2023….
