It is very enjoyable to watch Siskin feeding on these type of seeds. They are real Gymnasts

The light was beautiful when we saw this Kestrel. I am sure we saw one on the same tree last year (I just checked - we did, on 17.01.23!)

Funnily enough, I’ve also got lapwing, reed bunting and kestrel to add to the stonechat already posted from Otmoor last weekend.
 

My kestrel is very poor in comparison, that’s a super picture!

I believe I can confidently tell a rook from a crow now. Next step is to find Jackdaw and Raven and get comfortable telling those apart from the others. The jackdaw looks very crow-like.
