Hello GW

Sorry about my big pic! You have asked me to delete it and re-load a smaller version but I am not sure how to delete a photo from an existing post perhaps you would give me a quick idiot guide and I will immediately comply :D In fact will this do?

Perfect, I love the way they are all looking at you. When and where was this taken?

Somewhere on Ol Pejeta, last September. It was getting near tea time, so perhaps they were looking for a late afternoon snack !

Thanks, Hari. And yes, these were the Savute lions before the pride broke up.

Here are a couple more from 2005

This is a lion photo story from Ruaha National Park in July 2008. Around 3 pm in the afternoon we saw a herd of buffalo nervously shuffling around at the edge of a lightly wooded area. The guide said they were waiting to go to the river to drink, but something had made them nervous. Minutes later we found this kill between the road and the river,

Day 2 and a great deal of the buffalo had been eaten - there was a big pride of 29 lions in the area so presumably he had some help.

P1000674.JPG

P1000665.JPG

Day 3 there was less of the carcass left, and a freshly killed crocodile that had scented the kill and attempted to obtain a free lunch,

P1000699.JPG

Day four and this is all that remained of the buffalo,

And a couple from the Central Kalahari in July 2008,

I particularly like this ring of lions,

Morkel, there were a couple there, (the Naturescape ones), that didn't allow hotlinking, so I've just edited those ones out. Matt
