i must admit I do like this shot, which reminds us of a splendid lion sighting in the ktp and works quite nicely in Black & White (november 2018 panasconic G9)

Back in the Timbavati last week after three years absence. Lots of excellent lion and leopard sightings. One of the more interesting was viewing a pride of 26 individuals gathered around and inside their buffalo meal. Here one of the two adult males is framed by a heap of very dirty cubs:

Up a tree in the Masai Mara! The Lioness was being hounded by two males and escaped up the tree for a bit of peace and quiet. One of the males followed, which didn't work out that well as he didn't fit and the branch he chose was a bit bendy!

One of our more interesting lion sightings (and we saw plenty in several safaris). I've posted a couple of these images in one of my historical TRs, but the other two haven't been aired before.

Two of the Selinda lionesses took a roan antelope on the spillway in 2005, but it was stolen from them by one of the males. The confrontation was most entertaining, resulting in nearly 200 images (Yvonne was using a Canon EOS 1D Mark II).

A great gory sequence John!

Thank you @michael-ibkAside from the action, the most attractive factor for me was the nearly clean BG of the spillway surface.
