We found this Martial Eagle in the grass amongst the trees not far from our camp in Ndutu, Serengeti.

He/she was concentrating on eating a rabbit it had killed and did not want to abandon the meal, even when we stopped to observe.

this was a special momant. We were sitting in the car, in the shadow of a tree overlooking the Polentswa waterhole (Nossob river), when this Tawny landed in the tree above us. It sat there for about half an hour, giving us the eyeball occasionally, before heading down for a drink. Of such moments are holidays made.
