A reasonably common Lapwing in the Ethiopian highlands. Here from Dinsho.

Quite a striking Lapwing, and a new one for me. Unfortunately not very approachable. Seen at Ali Deghe.

Such a familiar bird from safaris in both East and Southern Africa, but in Ethiopia we saw only these two from afar - and were disappointed about them because they were not Black-Headed Lapwings. :)
